Meet the Staff

Kristina Miller

Hi! I am Kristina Miller and for the last three years, I’ve been employed with Heritage Dental. I have accepted a new position as office manager. I am beyond grateful for this next chapter in my career where I have the opportunity to grow even more with this company. I bring a 15-year dental background to Heritage dental; I’ve worked in an array of positions that I firmly believe have molded me into the well-rounded clinician that I am today. With our recent change of ownership, we are now offering more services and more appointment times. At home, I am a proud mom of two beautiful little girls, Charlie Grace and Emma Jo, and married to the love of my life who looks like he could moonlight on duck dynasty. You can find us at the pool most weekends or anywhere outside in our hometown of King George!

Hi. My name is Heather and I’ve been part of the Heritage Dental family since 2020. I came to Heritage Dental looking for my permanent “dental home” and I am confident I found it here.

My dental journey began in 2013 when I obtained my CDA from Germanna Community College. Since then I’ve been working chairside in all procedures including dental hygiene, restorative, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, sleep apnea,  dental implants, sedation dentistry, and more. I’ve also enjoyed other aspects of the field working as a treatment plan coordinator, financial coordinator, and office management.

As Clinical Manager I take pride in assuring that our patients are in the best hands receiving the best care possible.

During my free time, I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my three children. We share a love for sports and can usually be found on the soccer fields on the weekends.

Debbie Shelby - Dental Assistant/Sleep Appliance Coordinator

I was born in Kentucky, and have lived in several states before coming to Virginia. I’ve always had an interest in the medical and dental fields, and have worked at a hospital in ER Admissions, Medical Records, and the Lab. I wanted to be more involved clinically, and working as a dental assistant for Dr. Willhide allows me to do that. I’ve been part of his team for over 10 years, and love what I’m doing! I get a great deal of satisfaction from educating our patients about their oral health, or the challenge I am provided with when on occasion, a patient may come in apprehensive or even fearful, and we are able to calm them down, reassure them, and have them smiling and laughing before long! We have a great team and great patients. I especially enjoy endodontics, and am involved with our Invisalign and Sleep Appliance cases as well. It is a wonderful feeling to know that we really do help make our patients’ lives better. Many people with Obstructive Sleep Apnea who are unable to wear or tolerate a CPAP machine have found relief and a welcome solution in the dental sleep appliances we prescribe. My husband Don and I have been married for 34 years and have two children and two grandchildren. In my free time, I enjoy church activities, the great outdoors, and spending time with my family.

Hello and Welcome!

My name is Deah Runion and I am your Registered Dental Hygienist here at Heritage Dental. I grew up in Washington State and Montana but have also lived in 11 different states. I finally settled in Fredericksburg, Virginia in 2010.  I was a stay at home for 10 years while married to my son’s father whom was an active Marine, before finding my passion in the Dentistry field.

I started my career in Dentistry with Germanna Community College, graduating from Dental Assisting obtaining my CDA. I continued my education and graduated a second time with an associate degree as a Registered Dental Hygienist from Northern Virginia Community College.

I was blessed to find the love of my life upon graduation, and we have been blissful ever since!  I absolutely love my profession and I look forward to the wonderful patient relationships that have and will develop over the course of my career.

I have a wonderful teenage son and three amazing stepchildren along with 4 fur babies, 3 cats and our precious pup Peanut! I have a few hobbies, as I am a big DIY’er and I am always remodeling something in our family home, as well as, creating one-of-a-kind art pieces in my spare time.

My favorite thing is enjoying my family while making memories to cherish for years to come.  (“Humanity has unquestionably one really exceptional weapon—laughter”)

I thank you for allowing me to care for you and your family while you receive optimal, friendly, and informative health care here at Heritage Dental.
